Another beautiful village located in the Badulla District of the Uva Province of Sri Lanka.  It is also an area with many scenic spots.


         Horton Plains National Park is 8 km from Ohio in the Welimada Divisional Secretariat.  Tourist attractions such as Yaka's Stairs, Bambarakanda Waterfall and Rahangala Kanda can be traversed through Ohio.

         The Ohio Railway Station is the 67th (67th) Railway Station on the main line between Colombo and Badulla.  It is considered to be the third highest railway station in Sri Lanka and is located at an elevation of 1774 m (5820 ft) above sea level.


        There is a wonderful background to railways in the history of Sri Lanka.  The Kandyan Railway is unique in that it traverses rivers, streams, and valleys amidst winter and tranquility.  Due to this reason, the Rail Hike is very popular among tourists in Sri Lanka and the railway line between Ohio and Idalgashinna is one of them.  The highest number of railway basements between two railway stations is within this limit
